Back to BiteWise3D access

Privacy Notice

Last updated October 14, 2026 · Allegro3D Inc.

Allegro3D Inc., a Delaware corporation, provides the Allegro3D website and BiteWise3D for dental education. This initial simulator release serves adults aged 18 and over in the United States. Contact admin@allegro3d.net about privacy or your information.

Educational use; no patient information

BiteWise3D is not a patient-record system. Do not upload, enter or send patient names, identifiable images or scans, clinical records, protected health information (PHI), or other patient content through the simulator, correspondence or public reviews.

Access and security

The simulator uses a shared access password, not an individual account. A signed, HttpOnly access cookie allows access for up to eight hours. Where the website's private-access gate is enabled, its separate signed cookie lasts up to seven days. Both are checked by the server.

We process access outcomes, timestamps and security-event identifiers to protect and troubleshoot the service. Access events may include the version of the terms acknowledgement. They do not establish the identity of an individual user. Our application security events exclude passwords, access cookies, submitted answers and raw IP addresses. Hosting providers may separately process IP addresses, browser information and requested URLs.

Password-attempt limits use short-lived counters and a keyed representation of network information. These counters expire after one minute and are separate from the browser-presence counter.

Simulator activity and preferences

Appearance, tooth-numbering and tour preferences are stored in your browser until you clear site data. Exercise geometry and examination comparisons are held in the current page's memory. They are not saved as a named student record.

Optional knowledge-check answers are sent to our server for scoring. The current application does not persist those answers in a student database. Server and hosting security processing is separate from this scoring behavior.

Browser-presence monitoring

When enabled, a random signed browser identifier helps an organizer view active, peak and total browser counts. This is pseudonymous browser activity, not a verified person count. The browser cookie lasts seven days. Presence records in Upstash have a seven-day expiry refreshed by recorded activity; an ongoing run may therefore retain cumulative counts longer than seven calendar days.

Correspondence and Trustpilot

The demonstration-request form prepares an email in your own email application. It does not send automatically. If you send it, we receive the name, email address, institution, role and message you include, and use them to respond and handle your request.

The landing page includes a Trustpilot review widget. Loading the widget contacts Trustpilot even before you click and may disclose technical information such as your IP address and browser details to that provider. If you submit a review, Trustpilot processes and may publicly display it under its own terms and privacy notice. Do not include patient information in a review.

Providers, purposes and retention

We use Vercel for hosting, Upstash for enabled presence monitoring and shared access-attempt limits, Trustpilot for review invitations, and email services for correspondence. These services process information to provide access, operate the simulator, answer requests, measure browser presence, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.

Correspondence and technical/security records are retained for their operational purpose and applicable legal or dispute needs, then deleted or de-identified. Hosting, email and backup retention also depends on provider configuration. Contact us for information about a particular record or a deletion request. Clearing browser cookies does not itself delete correspondence or provider-held records.

We may disclose information to providers supporting these purposes, when legally required, to protect service security or legal rights, or in a business transaction subject to applicable protections. Information may be processed in the United States or other locations used by our providers. We do not promise that every provider stores data exclusively in the United States.

Your choices and requests

You can clear browser storage, choose whether to send a demonstration email, and choose whether to submit a Trustpilot review. Blocking access cookies may prevent the simulator from working. Contact admin@allegro3d.net to request access, correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern. Rights and exceptions depend on applicable law; we may need proportionate information to verify a request.

Requests about public reviews can also be made through Trustpilot's controls. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information, contact us. This simulator release is not intended for users under 18.

We will date revisions to this notice and provide additional notice where required. Agreement to the Terms of Use is not blanket consent to unrelated tracking or marketing.
